Studying with Powerpoint

Using the ppt file with Microsoft Powerpoint or a free powerpoint viewer, you can study a presentation at leisure. You can also review your lecture notes or the OYC transcript.

For this purpose it is best to disable timing so as to be able to dwell on an image as you step back and forth at will within the Powerpoint show using the arrow keys:

Double-click the downloaded ppt file to load Powerpoint.
Choose Slide Show / Set Up Show... / Advance slides Manually to disable timed advance.
Choose Slide Show / View Show to begin viewing.

It is also useful to be able to skip to distant frames:

Choose View / Slide Sorter
Click on the target slide.
Then choose Slide Show / View Show to view the target slide.

If your computer software is incompatible with the version of Powerpoint on the ppt file, you can study usin the Quicktime version of the lecture on the mov file instead.
